Vanuit de linker entree rechtdoor leidt de trap naar de bovengelegen woning. Aan het woord ‘ruim’ is niets gelogen als het over dit woongedeelte gaat. Vanaf de overloop zijn alle ruimtes te betreden; een woonkamer met keuken, twee slaapkamers, een luxueus afgewerkte badkamer, het aparte toilet en de techniekruimte. De fijne loggia is via beide slaapkamers te betreden of via de woonkamer.
Dit type atelier heeft een heerlijk groot woongedeelte. De woonkamer bevat een luxe uitgeruste hoek voor een keukenopstelling waar u heerlijk kunt kokkerellen. Er is voldoende ruimte om een flinke eettafel te plaatsen en nog een heel ruim zitgedeelte over te houden. De master bedroom is al even fijn dankzij de ruimte. Aan de andere zijde van De Ananas komt een brasserie, met een buitenterras. Daarnaast beschikt het gebouw over een enorme gemeenschappelijke binnentuin waar bewoners elkaar kunnen ontmoeten in een groene omgeving, en dat midden in de stad!
Omgeving
De Ananas bevindt zich aan de zuidoostrand van Leiden. U bent op de fiets met een minuut of vijf in het bruisende, historische centrum van Leiden om daar heerlijk te genieten van alles wat de stad te bieden heeft. Tegelijkertijd bent u in een prachtig park net buiten de stad, op drie minuten lopen! Of ga naar het strand van Katwijk, of ga fietsen in het Groene Hart. Op maar een paar minuten lopen van De Ananas bent u in Polderpark Cronesteyn. Een park waar het heerlijk wandelen of joggen is. Of een rondje met de hond te wandelen. Via de kolonisatie is de ananas naar de Westerse wereld gekomen, waar stenen exemplaren van deze tropische vrucht op landhuizen werden bevestigd. Met hetzelfde doel: gasten welkom heten.

Living and doing business on the edge of the vibrant city of Leiden, with relaxation at your fingertips. It is all possible in the ‘ateliers’ (work/living apartments) of De Ananas. Here living and working are comfortably combined.
The ‘atelier’ has its own entrance on the first floor. From here you enter directly into the workspace of 24.2m². This does not include the adjacent pantry, stairs cupboard and toilet.
From the left entrance straight ahead, the staircase leads to the upstairs apartment. The word “spacious” is no lie when it comes to this living area. From the landing all areas can be accessed; a living room with kitchen, two bedrooms, a luxuriously finished bathroom, the separate toilet and the technology room. The fine loggia can be accessed from both bedrooms or from the living room.
This studio type has a wonderfully large living area. The living room includes a luxuriously equipped corner for a kitchen setup where you can cook deliciously. There is enough space to place a large dining table and still have a very spacious sitting area left. The master bedroom is equally fine thanks to its space. The smallest wall is completely occupied by the beautiful window. In the middle of the house is the second bedroom.
The utility room has enough space and a connection for a washer and dryer, and here could be another ironing board or laundry rack, for example. The studio is completely gasless and thus very sustainable thanks to the heat pump system.

De Ananas is located on the south-eastern edge of Leiden. It takes about five minutes by bike to get to the lively, historic center of Leiden to enjoy everything the city has to offer. At the same time, you are in a beautiful park just outside the city, a three-minute walk away! Or go to the beach at Katwijk, or go cycling in the Green Heart. Just a few minutes walk from De Ananas you are in Polderpark Cronesteyn. A park where it is great to walk or jog. Or take a walk with the dog. There is a petting zoo, a café, a playground and a apiary of the beekeepers association. Great place to relax or be sporty!
Why De Ananas?
As a name, De Ananas is unusual to say the least. But deliberately chosen. De Ananas (Pineapple) is an international symbol of hospitality. It originated in the Caribbean, where people placed a pineapple in front of their house to welcome guests. Through colonization, the pineapple came to the Western world, where stone specimens of this tropical fruit were attached to country houses. With the same purpose: to welcome guests.
And that fits perfectly with the city of Leiden. Where many nationalities live and work side by side. Where internationals ensure Leiden’s status as a knowledge city.
